French Film Festival – Alliance Française of Manitoba
Cinémental is proud to partner with the 11th French Film Festival presented by the Alliance Française of Manitoba, taking place March 27 to 29, 2026 at the Dave Barber Cinematheque. As part of this partnership, Cinémental is highlighting the opening film All Stirred Up! by Manon Briand. This feel-good comedy follows an unlikely encounter between a strict border officer, a French chef seeking recognition, and a young aspiring cook determined to prove herself.

Freeze Frame – The International Festival of Films for Kids of All Ages
Cinémental is pleased to partner with Freeze Frame – The International Festival of Films for Kids of All Ages, taking place March 8-14, 2026 at the Centre culturel franco-manitobain. As part of the festival’s school program, Cinémental is sponsoring the screening of the animated film Hola Frida (2025), a Canada / France co-production directed by Karine Vézina and André Kadi. Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s childhood in Coyoacán, the film will be presented to students on Monday, March 9 at 1 PM.

Noir et fier • Afternoon Cinema
Cinémental is proud to be a partner of the 5th edition of Noir et Fier for the screening of Ludovic Bernard's film Ici et là-bas, starring Ahmed Sylla and Hakim Jemili, two leading actors in French-language cinema. Adrien, a Frenchman who has been living in Dakar for 15 years, travels to Paris to renew his visa. He meets Sékou, his partner's Senegalese cousin. They decide to help each other out. They then embark on a winding and eventful journey. During this humorous adventure, their friendship is put to the test.

UNMSJM Festival du film autochtone
Cinémental is partnering with the Union nationale métisse Saint-Joseph du Manitoba’s Indigenous Film Festival (UNMSJM) to spotlight two documentaries: Au pays des mitchifs : Roy Dupuis and Au pays des mitchifs : Blair Atcheynum. Explore the full program for this event, presented as part of Truth and Reconciliation Week. Thank you to the Festival for sponsoring Matimekush at Cinémental 2025.
