CINÉMENTAL is pleased to present the films chosen for its school program.

 

TIME & VENUE

Screenings are at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on October 20-23 and October 27-29, 2025 at the Grant Park Cinema (Landmark Cinemas 8 Grant Park).

*There may be exceptions with negotiations, for example, a screening at 10:15 a.m.

** Please note that "Mlle Bottine" will be screened at 10 a.m. only, due to its duration of 1:51 minutes.

COST

The price per student is set at $7.00. The number of places is limited. Be sure to reserve a specific number of seats. Cinémental reserves the right to demand payment for the number of reserved seats, regardless of the number of students present. We accept payment by credit card, check and cash (not by money order).

​

PassepART and ImmersART opportunities

You can have your school registration and transportation subsidized up to a maximum of $1,500. Make sure you're enrolled in one of these programs. Advise us of your interest and we will apply through PassepART or ImmersART on your behalf.

​​

CINÉMENTAL will reimburse bus transportation costs. Please submit an invoice to Cinémental, c/o afradet@outlook.com, before Friday, November 28, 2025.

**Reimbursements will not be processed after this date.**

PLEASE NOTE
  • The doors to the cinema hall will close as soon as the film starts. We cannot accept any delay. There will be limited time between performances. The Grant Cinema will assign a minimum of staff to screenings.

  • The food counter will be closed for the school program. It is forbidden to bring food and drink into the cinema halls. School personnel accompanying students should remind them to bring everything with them when leaving to ensure that subsequent groups arrive in a clean room. The cinema can accommodate people with reduced mobility, wheelchairs or motorized wheelchairs.

Elli is a little homeless ghost. In search of shelter, she is spotted by outside forces. Robots try to catch her. Elli escapes and hides in a merry-go-round haunted by strange characters Martha, Rolf, Rafi and Quantrix. Together, they form a team and set out to rescue other companions. They're in for a wild, emotion-filled adventure, hoping to find a family of their own..

MLLE BOTTINE

Simone is 11 years old. She lives on a farm with her grandmother. When her grandmother dies, Simone is forced to move to the city to live with her Uncle Philippe, an opera composer suffering from anxiety. An eccentric, rebellious orphan, Simone struggles to adapt with her best friend, a skunk named Bottine. Between school, an animal shelter and a concert hall, Simone and Philippe will help each other more than they know. Based on the classic film Bach and Bottine (1986).
