2026 SCHOOL PROGRAM

October 19 to 22 and October 26 to 28

at GRANT PARK Cinemas

CINÉMENTAL is pleased to present the films selected for its 2026 school program.

 

TIME & VENUE

Screenings are at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. from October 19 to 22, as well as from October 26 to 28, 2026, at  Grant Park Cinemas (Landmark Cinemas Grant Park).

*Exceptions may apply during booking and negotiations, such as a 10:15 a.m. screening.

COST

The price per student is $7.00. Seating is limited. Please make sure to reserve an accurate number of seats. Cinémental reserves the right to require payment for the number of seats reserved, regardless of the number of students in attendance. We accept payment by credit card, cheque (make the cheque payable to Cinémental Inc.) and cash. Money orders are not accepted.

PassepART and ImmersART Opportunities

You may be eligible for a grant covering your registration and school transportation fees, up to a maximum of $1,500. Please make sure you are registered for one of these programs. Let us know, and we will submit the request to PassepART or ImmersART on your behalf.

CINÉMENTAL will reimburse bus transportation fees. Please submit your invoice to Cinémental, care of afradet@outlook.com, before Friday, November 20, 2026. No reimbursements will be issued after this date.

PLEASE NOTE
  • We cannot accommodate late arrivals. There will be very little time between screenings. Grant Cinemas will have a limited number of staff on site during the screenings. We can welcome people with reduced mobility, including those who use wheelchairs or motorized wheelchairs.

  • The concession stand will be closed during the school program. Food and soft drinks are not permitted in the movie theatres. The theatres must remain clean at all times. All personal items must be taken with you when leaving the theatres.

Margot, a lonely pre-teen, is willing to do anything to bring her separated parents back together. But a new partner with mysterious powers seems to have taken control of her father. Faced with strange phenomena, Margot becomes convinced she is dealing with a witch. She decides to hire Madame Dalloway, a paranormal enthusiast, to help her. Together with her friends, Margot will try to find a solution to this fantastical situation. Based on a story by Martin Bartlett.

Lydia, 11, ventures into the unknown and explores the Sea of Mist when her brother Thaddeus is mysteriously abducted. Rescued by the crew of the Dolphin, a flying ship, she befriends the astro-magician Ambrosia, who is searching for her missing son. As Ambrosia’s apprentice, Lydia learns to master the magical arts in order to find her brother and save other children. A loose adaptation of Yves Meynard’s books Le vaisseau des tempêtes and Prince des glaces, published by Éditions Mediaspaul.
